Standards of Practice or S.O.P's are minimum requirments that licensed home inspectors have to meet when doing a home inspection.This does not mean that I cannot go above and beyond the minimum requirments. A list is always given to the client before the inspection, that way they know what I  check  or look for and what I dont.  I encourage you to read your standard of practice from which state your from, whether its Illinois or Wisconsin.
